How is the price of gold per gram calculated?
Gold is quoted globally in US dollars per troy ounce (31.1035 grams). We divide the spot price by 31.1035 to get the price per gram of 24K gold, multiply it by the purity of each karat (for example 22/24 for 22K), then convert it to your currency at the live exchange rate.
