How the gold price in the UAE is calculated
The price per gram is the world gold price per troy ounce divided by 31.1035, multiplied by the karat purity and converted to dirhams. The dirham is pegged to the US dollar at about 3.6725, so the Dubai gold rate follows the world gold price directly.
